Job summary

Maggie’s Oldham is seeking a Fundraising Administrator to support fundraising activities at the Oldham Centre and maximise income for Maggie’s. You will welcome and support visitors to the centre during fundraising and ensure they are motivated, informed and supported.

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment with occasional irregular hours and local travel; interviews are scheduled for 14 October at Maggie's Oldham.

Qualifications

  • A level / Higher or equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years’ work experience with transferrable skills.
  • Experience of volunteering in the voluntary sector.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.
  • Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers etc (by phone, mail and in person).
  • Refer enquiries to Centre Fundraiser where appropriate.
  • Provide supporters with a choice of how they fundraise in line with the national strategy.
  • Provide excellent supporter care to enthuse and retain supporters.
  • Liaise with Supporter Services Teams to handle complaints and enquiries efficiently.
  • Support communications activities using conventional and online media.

Compensation: £26,316 - £26,981 / year

Description

As an integral member of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Administrator will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the centre, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s.

As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as some local travel.

Please note that interviews will take place on Wednesday 14th October in Maggie's Oldham.

Key responsibilities
  • First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.
  • Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers etc (by phone, mail and in person) including responding to requests for information and materials etc.
  • Refer enquiries to Centre Fundraiser where appropriate.
  • Provide and facilitate supporters with a choice of how they fundraise and work with Maggie’s in line with the national strategy and plan.
  • Provide excellent supporter care, which enthuses supporters and encourages commitment and loyalty to Maggie’s.
  • Liaise with Supporter Services Teams to ensure complaints, responses and enquiries are efficiently and effectively handled, followed up and recorded.
  • Support communications activities using appropriate conventional and online media
