Job description

Cygnet Kenney House is our new purpose-built, flagship Acute/PICU & Mental health rehabilitation service located in Oldham. Set to open its doors soon, we are looking for an organised Funding Administrator with a passion for making a difference to others.

You'll be working full-time, 40 hours a week at Cygnet Kenney House, helping ensure the safe and smooth running of services for the people in our care.

Developed in collaboration with the NHS, the facility aims to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There will be three wards at Cygnet Kenney House: the PICU and Acute environments will offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely through to the most appropriate and least restrictive setting. The mental health rehabilitation and recovery ward (Level 2) will support individuals moving on from the Acute ward, as well as external referrals from other services such as secure, CAMHS, prison services, and more.

You will be responsible for the collection and collation of important information that needs to be submitted to the Finance Department within strict timescales. Produce daily reports including eCensus, Census, Occupancy statistics, and patient funding.

Your day-to-day...

  • Responsible for the daily production of reports and bed statistics, funding authorization spreadsheets, including the occupancy report.
  • Ensure the daily reports are completed by the deadline each day.
  • Ensure all new admissions have the necessary funding from the outset, submitting funding details including admission and specialist nursing costs to the Group accounts department daily. Maintain a diary system for all funding requests.
  • Promote and ensure the good reputation of the hospital. Act as a positive role model, maintaining a positive attitude towards clients, their families, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records of the hospital using both computer and manual systems.
  • Operate office equipment such as fax, photocopier, and computer, and provide administrative support to the Hospital Manager as required.
  • Answer the telephone and respond to all inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

  • Flexible, organized, able to prioritize workloads, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Calm under pressure and able to work independently
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for detail
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows, and the internet
