Living Well Consortium is seeking two Trainee CBT High Intensity Practitioners to provide high-intensity cognitive behavioural interventions within their NHS Talking Therapies service. Successful candidates will complete a one-year traineeship leading to full qualification, working on mental health and wellbeing in a hybrid setting.

Job description

Living Well Consortium, a partnership of member organisations in Birmingham and Solihull, is recruiting for two Trainee CBT High Intensity Practitioners to work within their NHS Talking Therapies service. The Traineeship involves two days per week in teaching led by Staffordshire University and three days per week working with a Living Well Consortium Service Provider.

The CBT HI Practitioner role sits within Step 3 of the Stepped Care Model – providing high intensity Cognitive Behavioural-based interventions for people experiencing Anxiety and/or Depression. The workforce provides evidence-based treatments in line with NICE guidance.

Practitioners will work with people to equip them with the tools and techniques they need to manage Anxiety and Depression effectively, as well as to work towards their goals. The aim is to help people make positive changes to improve their wellbeing and quality of life.

The Traineeship is one year long and, at the end of the programme, successful candidates will be fully qualified CBT HI Practitioners.

Candidates should work in a BABCP core profession. Applicants without a core profession must be able to demonstrate they have met the BABCP Knowledge Skills and Attitudes (KSA) criteria by completion of a KSA portfolio. Applicants will ideally have two years experience working within mental health.

This role is subject to the 2-year Psychological Professions Funding Rule.

Successful candidates will be employed with a Living Well Consortium Service Provider.

Pay: £37,338.00 per year
