Job summary

A elite US law firm in London is seeking an experienced Fund Finance / Leveraged Finance Associate to join the high-performing finance team on a temporary basis with strong potential to become permanent.

The role involves advising on fund finance and leveraged finance transactions, drafting and negotiating finance documents, and coordinating with clients and counterparties across domestic and cross-border matters. PQE 3+ is preferred, with prior City/intl/US firm experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in fund finance or leveraged finance.
• Qualified solicitor with experience at a City, international or US law firm.
• Experience handling sophisticated financing transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction-management skills.

Responsibilities

Our client is an elite US law firm with a highly regarded international finance practice and an established presence in the London market.The firm advises leading financial institutions, private capital sponsors, funds and corporate borrowers on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financing matters. Due to continued demand within the team, they are looking to bring in an experienced finance associate, initially on a temporary basis.

Job Description

The successful Fund Finance / Leveraged Finance Associate will join a high-performing finance team and work on a broad range of sophisticated financing transactions.Depending on experience, the role will involve:

• Advising on fund finance and leveraged finance transactions
• Acting for lenders, sponsors, funds and corporate borrowers
• Working across complex domestic and cross-border financing matters
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documents
• Managing transactions and coordinating with clients, counterparties and counsel
• Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on high-value mandates
• Taking responsibility for transactions appropriate to PQE and experience

The position is initially being offered on a temporary contract, although there is a genuine possibility of the role becoming permanent.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Be a qualified solicitor with 3+ years' PQE
• Have experience in fund finance and/or leveraged finance
• Have trained and/or qualified with a strong City, international or US law firm
• Have experience handling sophisticated financing transactions
• Demonstrate strong drafting, negotiation and transaction-management skills
• Be comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-performing environment
• Be available or able to become available for a temporary opportunity
