Taylor Root is recruiting a Fund Finance Associate for a leading US law firm in its London office. The role suits a lawyer with 3–5 years’ PQE (strong 2PQE considered) and solid onshore fund finance experience.
You will work on lender- and borrower-side matters, including subscription line facilities, NAV facilities, and hybrid lending, with significant cross-border exposure and collaboration across global teams.
This top-tier US firm is recognised as a market leader in banking and finance, acting on many of the largest and most complex transactions globally. The firm operates a fully integrated cross-border platform, combining English, US and local law capabilities across major jurisdictions, and is synonymous with high-quality work, commercial innovation and deep sector expertise. Its London office is a central hub for the firm’s global finance offering and home to leading practitioners across leveraged, structured, real estate and fund finance. Associates benefit from exposure to sophisticated international matters, a collaborative working culture, and a commitment to career development at the highest level of the market.
This position offers the chance to join the firm’s highly regarded Fund Finance practice. The team advises a blue-chip client base of leading UK and international banks, financial sponsors and fund managers on a wide range of financing products tailored to the funds sector. Typical matters include capital call subscription line facilities, NAV and hybrid lending, GP-led co-invest and support financings, fund leverage facilities and portfolio acquisition financing.
The successful candidate will work on both lender- and borrower-side mandates, gaining exposure to sophisticated capital structures and complex cross-border arrangements. This is a technically demanding but rewarding practice, extending across a diverse client base that includes private equity, real estate, credit and infrastructure funds. The London group also works seamlessly with colleagues across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, offering significant international collaboration and access to some of the most experienced fund finance practitioners globally.
There is dedicated support from both junior and senior team members, and associates are encouraged to take on genuine responsibility for drafting, negotiating and running transactions from an early stage. This role will particularly suit a technically capable, ambitious lawyer who is eager to develop within a high-performing, specialist team at the centre of the firm’s finance platform.
This opportunity offers top of market remuneration and an attractive bonus scheme, combined with direct access to major global fund finance transactions and a collaborative, dynamic team culture. Associates joining this group will gain exceptional visibility with key institutional clients, exposure to cutting-edge financing structures and access to an international platform that continually shapes the fund finance market. The firm provides excellent professional development, mentorship from recognised leaders in the field, and a clear path for career progression.
