Fund Controller: Private Equity & VC Funds

Job summary

JSS in London seeks a senior funds accountant to design and roll out operating models for a growing range of closed-end, semi-liquid and evergreen funds. You will work closely with the Head of Fund Operations and senior leadership to ensure robust systems and scalable processes.

You will own fund control, coordinating NAVs, capital activity, fees and investor reporting, and serve as the main contact for fund administrators and auditors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Must have PE Fund Administration background.
• 5+ years of fund accounting experience, including private equity or semi-liquid funds.
• Hands-on experience with NAV calculations, capital calls and distributions, cash flows and investor statements.
• Technical depth in fund accounting systems such as Investran, eFront or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own fund control for assigned mandates, including NAVs, capital activity, fees and investor reporting.
• Be the primary contact for fund administrators and auditors, ensuring accurate reporting and timely delivery.
• Coordinate preparation and review of fund financial statements with administrators and auditors.
• Partner with investment, distribution and investor relations teams to provide clear fund data for research and client conversations.
• Stay updated on AIFM regulation and regulatory reporting as the platform scales.
• Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to enable growth.
