Job summary

93MGMT is seeking a Fund Controller to join its London team in a permanent, hybrid position. The role combines financial reporting, fund operations, and liquidity management across private markets.

You will work with investment professionals, review quarterly statements, manage capital calls, and support fund modelling and audits, gaining broad exposure to closed-ended funds and investment platforms.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 2-4 years PQE.
• Experience in fund accounting or fund control, in-house with an investment manager or through fund administration.
• Good understanding of closed-ended fund structures.
• Experience across private markets (private equity, private credit or similar).
• Strong Excel skills with an interest in fund modelling.

Responsibilities

• Review quarterly fund financial statements, investor capital statements and external administrator reporting.
• Manage fund liquidity: capital calls, distributions and subscription facilities.
• Coordinate funding of new transactions with investment teams.
• Review management fee calculations, fund expenses and investor reporting.
• Develop fund modelling capabilities through quarterly fund model updates.

Fund Controller | Private Markets | London

93MGMT is working with an established global investment manager seeking to appoint a Fund Controller to its London team. The position has been newly created following the growth of the business and the securing of several new investment mandates.

This is a broad fund finance role, combining responsibility for financial reporting and fund operations with involvement in investment funding, liquidity management and fund modelling.

Working within a small, experienced finance team, the successful candidate will work closely with investment professionals, gaining exposure to the financial and operational aspects of managing closed-ended investment funds.

The Role

• Review quarterly fund financial statements, investor capital statements and reporting prepared by external administrators
• Manage fund liquidity, including capital calls, distributions and subscription facilities
• Work directly with investment teams to coordinate the funding of new transactions
• Review management fee calculations, fund expenses and investor reporting
• Develop fund modelling capabilities through involvement in quarterly fund model updates
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting and other fund finance activities
• Work closely with external administrators, advisers and internal stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 2-4 years PQE
• Fund accounting or fund control experience, gained in-house with an investment manager or through fund administration
• Good understanding of closed-ended fund structures
• Experience across private equity, private credit or other alternative investment strategies
• Strong Excel skills, with an interest in developing fund modelling expertise
• Strong technical foundations, a willingness to learn and the confidence to take responsibility
