Job summary

Hayfin Capital Management LLP is seeking an experienced fund accountant to join our Direct Lending Fund Finance team as Fund Controller. The role sits at the heart of our Direct Lending platform with close collaboration across London, Luxembourg and the US.

You’ll review NAVs, manage investor reporting, and oversee external fund administrators, ensuring robust controls and timely communications with auditors and committees.

Qualifications

• Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with exposure to financial services or investment funds.
• Experience of IFRS financial reporting for investment funds; Lux GAAP a plus.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg and Cayman private credit structures and related accounting.
• Knowledge of valuation techniques, policies and work processes in fund accounting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving monthly and quarterly NAVs and investor reporting prepared by third-party Fund Administrators.
• Instructing release of investor drawdown and distribution notices.
• Reconciling intra-month P&L and performance metrics for internal reporting.
• Liaising with Fund Administrators, FX counterparties, auditors and AIFMs across multiple regions.
• Monitoring adherence to the funds' FX hedging policy.
• Managing annual audit cycle and reviewing financial statements.
• Supporting quarterly asset valuations and engagement with Valuation Committee.
• Onboarding new funds and managed accounts; Solvency II reporting and board materials.
• Ensuring financial processes align with best practice and controls.
