Overview

Private Credit - Fund Controller

Our client is looking to recruit a well-experienced Fund Controller to manage a new fund. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fund Controller to oversee the financial operations, reporting and control environment for a portfolio of open-ended private credit and private equity funds. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, with a strong background in fund structures and investment operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations, reporting and control environment for a portfolio of open-ended private credit and private equity funds.
• Manage three funds, with more to come.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS and maintain strong governance over fund structures and investment operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; a Qualified Accountant, or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience with open-ended fund structures.
• A solid understanding of private credit (e.g. direct lending, distressed debt, asset-based finance).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex fund structures and intracompany flows.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Please note we require candidates who have worked in private credit on open and closed funds.
• Seeking a Big 4 trained and qualified candidate, with an additional 3-5 years' experience ideally in a (Private) Credit Fund as a Fund Controller.
