Job description

Eden Scott's client is seeking experienced Fund Administrator to join their team on an initial fixed-term contract of six months, with the potential for extension or a permanent opportunity.


Based in either our Edinburgh or Dundee office, this role will initially require you to work from our Edinburgh office for training and onboarding. You'll play a key part in maintaining accurate accounting records for our investment trust clients and will be responsible for completing a wide range of daily administrative and financial tasks. If you bring relevant experience, there may also be the opportunity to review and approve the work of your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities


  • Calculation of daily Net Asset Values (NAVs) for assigned clients
  • Trade and FX transaction input
  • Recording and processing corporate actions
  • Maintaining dividend XD records and processing dividend receipts
  • Processing client expense payments and share buybacks
  • Completing daily cash and stock reconciliations
  • Sending NAV data to depositaries
  • Preparing paperwork for share issues and buybacks
  • Submitting quarterly and annual ONS returns

Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client investment managers and custodians
  • Respond to external enquiries from clients, shareholders, and suppliers

Teamwork & Collaboration


  • Provide support and cover for colleagues
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal projects
  • Collaborate with wider business areas on client-related matters

Experience and Skills Required


  • Fund management administration experience
  • Investment trust administration experience and/or ICON fund accounting system knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Positive problem-solver with a proactive mindset
  • Motivated team player who can take responsibility and encourage others
