Job summary

Alter Domus in Saint Helier, Jersey, seeks a Manager to lead a PE and Debt fund administration team, handling client relationships and NAV-related tasks.

You will ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, oversee reporting, and coordinate with auditors and custodians, with opportunities for professional development through Alter Domus Academy.

Ideal candidates have ACA/ACCA and 5–10 years of fund accounting experience; strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
• 5–10 years in fund accounting with NAV calculation experience.
• Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Strong consolidation and IFRS/FRS accounting skills.
• Experience with fund administration IT systems.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of PE and Debt clients and oversee client invoicing.
• Act as central point of contact for clients and oversee fund team performance.
• Manage relationships with auditors, law firms, custodians, and prime brokers.
• Produce client reporting and validate Fund NAV reports.
• Coordinate and validate work and assist in design of systems to meet client needs.
• Oversee internal fund projects and support fund servicing IT systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a manager , you will have day-to-day responsibility for a varied portfolio of PE and Debt clients , and have the following responsibilities:

• As the Manager you will use experience you have acquired in the past as well as excellent organisational skills, sound judgment, the ability to prioritise tasks, and strong personal character to help meet client requirements and to ensure the overall fund team performs and grows. Your team will benefit from your good listening skills, tailored coaching, and planning.
• You will act as a central point of contact for your client / clients, capable of identifying and anticipating possible problem areas, you will be able to accurately measure potential risks, and therefore you will be able to offer suitable solutions to the client and satisfy their overall needs. You will guarantee all operational aspects of the account (inclusive, for instance, of client invoicing) and you will be responsible for the financial monitoring of the client portfolio.
• You will manage the relationships with other service providers in the industry, including auditors, law firms, custodians, and prime brokers.
• You will have responsibility for the production of client reporting and checking of Fund NAV reports.
• You will oversee the coordination and validation all work delivered by the team; you will assist in design of systems and process to meet the client needs.
• You will oversee some internal fund projects and work closely with the fund administration IT systems to provide fund servicing solutions.

YOUR PROFILE:

• You are fully qualified ( e.g. ACA , ACCA).
• You have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a Fund Accounting role) including NAV calculation , transfer Agent and investor servicing , and tax compliance.
• Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• High level of experience with consolidation, IFRS / FRS accounting and financial statements preparation.
• Experience of fund administration IT systems.
• You can act on your own initiative and lead a team of fund administration professionals.
