Job summary

State Street is seeking an Associate2 Fund Accountant to support NAV production and reconciliations for a hedge/mutual fund. You will ensure accurate pricing, process corporate actions, and review fund activity while helping develop junior staff.

The role requires ~2 years in fund accounting, strong numerical and analytical skills, and a detail-oriented, deadline-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
• Approx 2 years related experience in a fund accounting environment.
• Knowledge of cash and position reconciliation in funds (hedge or mutual).
• Knowledge of financial products such as equities, futures, fixed income, options.
• Knowledge of corporate actions is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical/analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be deadline-driven.
• Highly computer literate with good communication skills.
• Organised and good team player; supervisory experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate and timely production of the Net Asset Value (NAV).
• Ensure all positions are priced correctly.
• Verify corporate actions are processed accurately.
• Process and review fund capital activity.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations for listed and derivative products.
• Supervise investigation and resolution of reconciling items.
• Coordinate with other departments on fund queries and reconciliations.
• Process and review various accounting transactions.
• Assist with staff training and development.
