Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) in London is seeking a Fund Accountant to support separately managed accounts, oversight, reporting, and financial control across fund entities. You will act as a key contact for external managers, reviewing P&L, pricing reconciliations, and documenting findings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of fund accounting experience in financial services, advanced Excel (Pivot Tables and lookups), and a meticulous, data-driven approach;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record and progress toward ACCA/CIMA.
• At least 1 year of fund accounting experience in financial services.
• Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookups.
• High attention to detail with ability to review, reconcile and analyze complex financial data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee P&L and pricing reconciliations with external managers.
• Agree SMA and performance fee calculations across multiple mandates.
• Produce internal SMA reporting and manager-level reporting oversight.
• Support NAV oversight and verify fee calculations across fund entities.
• Assist in the audit process with external auditors and fund administrators.
• Contribute to ad hoc financial tasks as required.

Join our Finance team in London as a Fund Accountant, supporting separately managed accounts and contributing to oversight, reporting, and financial control processes.

Your Future Role Within QRT:

• Act as a key point of contact for external managers, overseeing profit and loss and pricing reconciliations, and working closely with Operations and Citco to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Agree separately managed account management (SMA) and performance fees across multiple mandates
• Produce internal separately managed account reporting
• Ensure the accuracy of administrator-produced manager-level reporting
• Support net asset value oversight across all fund entities by reviewing calculations, maintaining parallel investor allocations, and verifying fee calculations
• Assist in the review of financial statements and investor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant reporting standards
• Provide support to the audit process, including interaction with external auditors and fund administrators
• Contribute to additional areas such as withholding tax statements, share class hedging, and other ad hoc financial tasks as required

Your Present Skillset:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a strong academic record, alongside progress towards or intention to pursue a professional accounting qualification (for example ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• A minimum of one year of experience in fund accounting within a financial services environment, including exposure to management and performance fee calculations
• Experience working in an environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential
• Strong Excel skills, including the use of Pivot Tables, lookup functions, and formula-driven analysis
• High level of attention to detail, with the ability to review, reconcile, and analyse complex financial data accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external parties
