Job summary

Marks Sattin in London is recruiting for a Fund Accountant to join an established private equity investment manager. You will work closely with the fund accounting team to maintain accurate records in a flat structure.

The role covers accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds, capital calls, distributions, NAV reporting, and cash flow forecasts, with exposure to Investran and collaboration with auditors.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting is preferred.
• Background in private equity or financial services is advantageous.
• Experience with Investran is preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills and data interpretation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds and investment holding entities.
• Assist with capital calls, distributions and investor capital account reconciliations.
• Record investment acquisitions, disposals, income and fund expenses.
• Support quarterly NAV reporting, incorporating investment valuations provided by the investment team.
• Assist with management fee calculations and carried interest workings.
• Monitor fund liquidity and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Liaise with fund administrators and support annual audits.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and investment data in Investran.

Prior Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role (Fund Accounting preferred)


• Experience within private equity or other Financial Services is advantageous


• Experience using Investran


• Strong knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Pivot tables, etc)


• Strong academics at A level & University


• Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification
