Job summary

Donard Recruitment is recruiting for a Hybrid Functional Specialist role in the UK. You will conduct comprehensive assessments for disability allowances (PIP) across multiple health domains, while delivering empathetic service.

Requirements include registration with NMC or HCPC, 1+ years post-qualification experience, and strong communication and IT skills. The position offers training, 25 days holiday, and a company-provided laptop and phone.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads end-to-end including face-to-face, virtual and telephone assessments.

• Assess health conditions and disabilities across physical, sensory, mental and cognitive domains.
• Allocate time for breaks, CPD, audit amendments and team meetings.

We are recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time roles available.

As a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Your New Role

• As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper-based reports (PBR).
• As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
• You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
• You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
