Job summary

Donard Recruitment is hiring a multi-skilled Functional Specialist in a hybrid role. You will manage end-to-end caseloads, delivering in-person and virtual assessments, with emphasis on clinical accuracy and patient-focused reporting.

We seek qualified Nurses, MHNs, OTs, PTs or Paramedics with 1+ year PQE and valid NMC/HCPC registration; strong IT literacy and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• 1+ years post qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads end-to-end including face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).
• Autonomously manage cases to conclusion with greater job variety.
• Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants (physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, cognitive).
• Include breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing evidence, and team meetings in rota.

Your New Role:

• As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).
• As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
• You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
• You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
