Overview

Role: Functional Skills Tutor

Location: Newham

Rate: 20 - 30 per hour

Subject: Functional skills

Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in functional skills subjects such as English and mathematics.
  • Tailor teaching approach to accommodate diverse needs and learning styles.
  • Assess learners' strengths and areas for improvement to develop personalised learning plans.
  • Inspire and motivate students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment to help them achieve their goals.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualifications - minimum Level 3 Education & Training or above and hold a Level 2/GCSE qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Functional Skills in English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students of all backgrounds
