Job description

Location: Liverpool City Centre or Kirby (hybrid considered)

Salary: £29,000 & benefits

Seeking an engaging Functional Skills Tutor with a passion for working and impacting the futures of young people.

If you have a natural ability to deliver fun and interactive teaching sessions, this could be the perfect fit!

Overview:

Working for a leading Youth Charity, you will deliver Functional Skills English and Maths at levels 1-3 for unemployed 16-24 year olds on a 12 week pre-employment programme.

A typical week:

  • Carry out initial & ongoing assessments
  • Deliver English & Maths sessions to groups
  • Support learners achieve L1,2,3 Functional Skills
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure success

You will need the following:

  • Functional Skills delivery experience
  • Teaching qualification at L3
  • Experience working with young people/NEETs
  • A confident & engaging style of delivery
  • Assessor/IQA/IAG qualification (desirable)
