About Us:

Situated amidst stunning countryside, the Army Foundation College is a purpose-built site for phase 1 recruits (Junior Soldiers) joining the Army. As part of our team at Pearson TQ, you'll enjoy outstanding on-site facilities including a 25-metre pool, fully equipped fitness suite, squash and badminton courts, a Learning Resource Centre, and two on-site cafes for your convenience.

Hours: Full-time but can be flexible for part-time job seekers

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching English, Maths, and/or ICDL to 16 and 17-year-old Junior Soldiers
• Managing up to 8 classes
• Providing cover for colleagues when needed
• Invigilating examinations as required

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or willingness to work towards it
• L3 Qualification in the subject you will teach
• Functional Skills Level 2 in English/Maths and/or ICT
• Experience working with the Military or other uniformed services
• Experience delivering Functional Skills to soldiers and knowledge of current educational developments
