Job description

Location: Home and community-based

Support vulnerable learners aged 14–18 who are working below GCSE level. Your sessions will focus on Functional Skills in English and Maths, delivered in a practical, engaging format that reflects real-world application.

Most pupils have SEMH or SEN needs, and may be out of school.

  • Teaching qualification with QTS is preferred but a degree with experience is accepted

  • Enhanced DBS child workforce only certificate or a willingness to obtain one

  • Substantial experience supporting disengaged or vulnerable learners

  • Ability to personalise content and pace to suit learner

  • Consistent, part-time hours that fit around your schedule

  • Opportunities to shape how sessions run

  • Regular contact with a friendly, specialist team

  • Work with pupils on a path back to learning success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
