Job description

Purpose

We are seeking a skilled tutor to help learners apply English and Maths in real, vocational, and practical contexts to support their studies and workplace aspirations. The successful candidate will deliver support through our Supported Internship and 16-19 provision, where learners are on a focused journey to employment or apprenticeships.

The role involves delivering and developing resources aimed at improving core Maths and English skills to help learners achieve Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications, aligned with employer and learner needs and standards set by awarding bodies. Delivery will include face-to-face group teaching and one-to-one support sessions. The position is based in Norwich, with occasional travel to other regional sites.

This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.

Essential:

You will have:

• Holds a teaching qualification, such as a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)
• L3 or equivalent in Functional Skills Maths, English, and ICT
• D32/33/A1 or equivalent training/assessment qualification, or willingness to work towards it
