Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment seeks an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to deliver and coordinate Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English up to Level 2. The role is centre-based in Middle Wallop, with travel to other centres as required.

You will plan, deliver and assess learners, bringing creativity to engage them and achieve progress. A Teaching qualification at Level 4+ is required, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths & English up to Level 2.
• Teaching qualification at Level 4 or higher.
• Good IT and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Passion for people development.
• Full UK Driving licence and use of own car.

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW: FUNCTIONAL SKILLS TUTOR

Are you passionate about supporting people to improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours? Do you have an innovative approach to breaking down barriers to learning in the classroom? Can you tailor learning, support and advice for learners to ensure each learner makes excellent progress? Are you qualified and experienced in Functional Skills Delivery? If the answer is 'yes' then we would love to hear from you!

We are currently seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Functional Skills qualifications, for a well-established training provider.

Delivering Functional Skills Maths & English up to L2 in a classroom environment, you will work closely with learners to make a genuine impact on learner progress and outcomes. For the right candidate this position will offer real autonomy to plan, deliver and support learners and we really welcome innovation and creativity when considering the best ways to engage learners both in the classroom.

This role is centre-based (Middle Wallop), but you will need to be flexible to travel to other centres when needed.

SALARY/BENEFITS: FUNCTIONAL SKILLS TUTOR

• Salary 28500K - 32000K (depending on experience & qualifications)
