Functional Skills Tutor (Part-Time)

Location: Newham, London

Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday (3 days per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Part-Time

The college we are working with are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact supporting learners to achieve their potential in English and Maths.

About the Role

You will deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills sessions in English and Maths to learners across a range of study programmes. The role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, and providing tailored support to help students succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching of Functional Skills English and/or Maths (Entry Level to Level 2).
• Develop engaging lesson plans and resources to meet individual learner needs.
• Assess and monitor learner progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Provide constructive feedback and support learners to achieve their targets.
• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching and support teams to ensure learner success.
