About the school:
A specialist SEMH school for students aged 11-19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school offers personalised learning, vocational pathways, and integrated therapeutic support in a modern, purpose-built environment.

About the role:
Teach functional skills in English and Maths to small groups of SEN students. Lessons are practical, differentiated, and designed to prepare learners for future education, employment, or training. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support wellbeing and academic progress.

We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Plan and deliver Entry Level to Level 2 functional skills
  • Differentiate content for students with varied SEN and SEMH needs
  • Support EHCP targets through creative and practical teaching
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils

Requirements –
The ideal candidate would have:

  • QTS, QTLS or post-16 teaching qualification
  • Experience delivering functional skills to SEN learners
  • Knowledge of SEMH and inclusive teaching practices
  • A calm, adaptable approach and strong behaviour management skills
