Job description

Functional Skills Maths and English Lecturer – Apps and Work based Learning, Walsall

We are currently seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths and English Lecturer to deliver up to Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, focusing on Apps and Work-based Learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and motivating students, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment plans, and providing academic and pastoral support tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include participating in student interviews, enrolment, and induction processes, and utilizing initial assessments to inform teaching strategies.

Essential qualifications include a Teaching Qualification such as DTLLS, Cert. Ed/PGCE, or equivalent (or a commitment to attain one), along with an appropriate subject qualification.

This role involves working across various campuses and employer settings in the Midlands, as well as remote delivery.
