Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Training Provider to deliver Functional Skills and Employability tutoring for learners, including those with SEN/SEND, in a Derby-based, term-time role.

The role involves delivering Maths and English, Employability Skills, and personal development programmes, with ILPs, initial assessments, and work experience coordination to help learners overcome barriers and reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 3 Teaching qualification as a minimum such as AET/PTLLS.
• Hold a Level 2 in Maths and English – Functional Skills equivalent.
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
• Experience of supporting and delivering training to young people who have experienced barriers to their lives and education.
• Knowledge and understanding of the multiple barriers young people face and be able to develop support mechanisms / interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality learning programmes to include; Maths and English, Employability Skills, Personal and Social Development, and a Vocational certificate/ qualification pathway at entry level to level 2 (such as Business Admin; Customer Service; Retail; Hospitality; Health and Social Care; Childcare and more).
• Deliver to small groups of, up to 12, learners on-site.
• Work closely with learners to create and update individual learning plans in line with individual and EHCP targets.
• Ensure each learner receives a robust initial assessment in order to inform and update the ILP and RARPA framework.
• Ensure all students receive relevant work experience in line with their planned programme of learning.
• Build good relationships with learners offering support, advice and guidance throughout their learning journey.
