Functional Safety Validation Engineer

Our OEM Client based in Coventry is searching for a Functional Safety Validation Engineer to join their team, inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: Up to GBP 33.64 per hour.

Duties:

• This function is responsible for the functional safety verification of battery management controls software.

Level:

• A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in the job area, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and coordinate activities between all stakeholders to deliver safety-related verification activities.
• Ensure a common approach and technical solutions across all projects where possible.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 Part 6 / Parts 4 & 5.
• Tackle difficult and often complex problems.

Skills:

• Technical knowledge of ISO 26262 Part 6 / Parts 4 & 5.
