Contract Opportunity: Fully Remote Functional Safety Engineer (Outside IR35) – 3 Months

Are you a skilled engineer with expertise in Functional Safety and standards like ISO, IEC, and IEC? We’re looking for a highly flexible and self-driven engineer to join our team for a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. This position is fully remote and outside IR35, offering you the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quick Learner: Pick up certifications and project specifics efficiently, with the support of our team.
2. Collaborative Work: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project goals are met, with a flexible approach to the work process.
3. Technical Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Functional Safety standards and your technical background (no need to be a design engineer).
4. Standards Knowledge: Apply your understanding of ISO, IEC, SIL, FMEA, MTTfd, and Performance Levels to ensure safety-related control systems meet requirements.
5. Lifecycle Management: Involve yourself in the Safety Lifecycle, ensuring diagnostic coverage and effective safety assessments across systems.
6. Flexible Role: The ideal candidate can come from a variety of backgrounds, provided they have experience in technical testing and approvals and a strong knowledge of Functional Safety principles.

Key Skills and Experience:

1. Proficiency in ISO (Category 2), IEC, and IEC standards.
2. FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) expertise.
