Job Responsibilities
- Deliver IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 / IEC 62061 / ISO 13849 functional safety-based SIS and Machinery Safety consultancy and training services.
- Provide specialist level technical support to TRIS clients on a range of technical queries across the applicable functional safety lifecycles.
- Write technical papers and deliver specialist technical presentations to support TRIS functional safety service execution and work winning strategies.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and assist in the delivery of tailored, pragmatic solutions.
- Maintain and enhance customer relationships, securing new opportunities for repeat and new consulting business.
- Lead assignment tasks, providing regular updates on progress and any challenges faced.
- Support the financial performance of consulting assignments, monitoring progress vs. costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality services.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, customer contracts, and industry regulations.
- Maintain transparency in communication with clients, team members, and management.
Candidate Expectations
- Minimum of 3-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in scoping new work and preparing or coordinating competitive bids.
- Ability to plan and manage the delivery of projects from proposal to successful completion.
- Proficient in technical report writing, effective communication, and stakeholder management.
- Availability for short-term travel on a global basis.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in high hazard process industries focusing on safety instrumented systems and/or machine safety.
- Relevant technical engineering degree with chartered status or equivalent.
- Certifications such as TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer or Exida CFSE.
- At least 3 to 10 years’ experience in functional safety management within an operational engineering environment.
- Experience with SIL determination, safety requirements specification, and SIS design and maintenance.
- Knowledge of IEC functional safety standards and relationships among stakeholders.
- Experience in developing Safety Requirements Specifications.
- Preferably safety engineering knowledge related to E/E/PE Safety Systems.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and assessments.
- Experience delivering technical training and presenting technical updates.
- Membership in technical committees or professional organizations is preferred.
