Job Responsibilities

1. Deliver IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 / IEC 62061 / ISO 13849 functional safety-based SIS and Machinery Safety consultancy and training services.
2. Provide specialist level technical support to TRIS clients on a range of technical queries across the applicable functional safety lifecycles.
3. Write technical papers and deliver specialist technical presentations to support TRIS functional safety service execution and work winning strategies.
4. Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and assist in the delivery of tailored, pragmatic solutions.
5. Maintain and enhance customer relationships, securing new opportunities for repeat and new consulting business.
6. Lead assignment tasks, providing regular updates on progress and any challenges faced.
7. Support the financial performance of consulting assignments, monitoring progress vs. costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality services.
8. Ensure compliance with company standards, customer contracts, and industry regulations.
9. Maintain transparency in communication with clients, team members, and management.

Candidate Expectations

1. Minimum of 3-10 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience in scoping new work and preparing or coordinating competitive bids.
3. Ability to plan and manage the delivery of projects from proposal to successful completion.
4. Proficient in technical report writing, effective communication, and stakeholder management.
5. Availability for short-term travel on a global basis.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Experience in high hazard process industries focusing on safety instrumented systems and/or machine safety.
2. Relevant technical engineering degree with chartered status or equivalent.
3. Certifications such as TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer or Exida CFSE.
4. At least 3 to 10 years’ experience in functional safety management within an operational engineering environment.
5. Experience with SIL determination, safety requirements specification, and SIS design and maintenance.
6. Knowledge of IEC functional safety standards and relationships among stakeholders.
7. Experience in developing Safety Requirements Specifications.
8. Preferably safety engineering knowledge related to E/E/PE Safety Systems.
9. Experience in conducting safety audits and assessments.
10. Experience delivering technical training and presenting technical updates.
11. Membership in technical committees or professional organizations is preferred.
