Functional Head of Transformation - Services

Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:

The Functional Head of Transformation is a senior role responsible for leading the implementation of systems, processes, and ways of working to achieve the Global Functional Strategy for Digital and Services within the STS business. The role focuses on standardization and scalability of the operating model, ensuring successful transformation aligned with the Zenith programme.

This role is crucial in aligning and delivering change across the business area in conjunction with the Zenith and Zeus programmes, acting as a bridge between process design and business impact. It supports the growth strategy for Service and Digital, defining target operating models, global processes, and systems to enable efficient delivery. The role reports to the Head of Digital and Services STS and collaborates with central and division teams.

Objectives and Responsibilities:
  1. Functional Strategy Implementation: Develop and oversee the execution of the functional strategy, ensuring alignment with global goals across regions.
  2. Standardization and Scalability: Establish policies, promote best practices, and manage change initiatives to ensure consistent processes.
  3. Talent Management: Oversee Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Business Process Owners (BPOs), ensuring team effectiveness and strategic alignment.
  4. Strategic Transformation: Lead transformation projects, notably Zenith, ensuring strategic and policy alignment and participating in governance forums.
  5. Change Management: Drive change initiatives, address resistance, and communicate effectively to ensure successful adoption of new ways of working.
  6. Decision Rights: Make operational decisions that enhance functionality and effectiveness.
  7. Global Model: Ensure the global operating model is effectively designed, implemented, and continuously improved.
Previous Experience:
  • Operational leadership within the industry.
  • Strong experience in services and/or digital business, with knowledge of processes, systems, and strategies.
  • Proven leadership and influence during major change programmes.
  • Multinational and cross-cultural experience.
  • Strategic thinking at a global level with understanding of operational challenges.
