Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in the UK. This hybrid role involves completing PIP assessments, analysing medical evidence and producing detailed reports, while working across assessment centres and home-based settings.

The role requires a registered nurse or HCPC-registered professional with UK experience and strong report-writing skills, in a structured, supportive environment with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Proficient with digital systems and typing 35 WPM.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

• Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
