Primary responsibilities as a Functional Assessor:

  • Conduct health and disability assessments to understand individual needs.
  • Carry out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for individuals of working age with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities, assessing their ability to perform daily tasks or move safely.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for submission to the Department of Work and Pensions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality service to claimants and contribute to continuous improvement of health assessment services in the UK.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 12 months of post-registration experience gained in the UK as an NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered paramedic, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist.
  • Experience treating a range of physical and mental health conditions is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools for documentation and communication.
