Job description

Make the most of your clinical knowledge and become a Functional Specialist.
This is an opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to further their career with a leading, multi-national employer in a hybrid working role with Full time and Part time roles available.
As a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive, safe and empathetic service for the claimant.

Benefits Include:

  1. Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500
  2. 5% retention bonus
  3. Rising to 10% quality & retention bonus
  4. OTE: £45,650
  5. Hybrid Full time, Part time working hours available
  6. Training options: 12 weeks' (full time), 14 weeks (4 days per week) & 17 weeks (3 days per week)

Your New Role:

  1. As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).
  2. You will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
  3. You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
  4. You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
  2. 1+ years post qualification experience.
  3. Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  4. Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
