Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with UK driving licence and ability to work independently.
• Experience in domestic or commercial electrical installations and testing/inspection reports (EIC, EICR).
• Willingness to undertake solar electrical course provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, testing, inspection and fault finding to a high standard.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Complete testing & inspection certificates accurately and on time.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.
• Maintain high health & safety standards at all times.
• Keep tools and vehicles in good working order.

Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our growing team with AM2 and 2391 Qualifications. We have roles based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This role involves carrying out high‑quality electrical installation, testing, and inspection work in domestic and/or commercial settings, ensuring all work is completed safely and fully compliant with current regulations.

While previous solar PV experience is not essential, we are happy to put the successful candidate through a recognised solar electrical course, offering an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, testing, inspection, and fault‑finding work to a high standard
• Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
• Complete testing & inspection certificates accurately and on time
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Proven experience working as a qualified Electrician
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous domestic or commercial electrical experience
• Experience with testing & inspection reports (EIC, EICR)
• Renewable or solar PV experience (training provided if not)
• ECS or JIB Gold Card
