The University of East London, Stratford campus, invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in developmental science. The project investigates how shared reading between caregivers and children shapes early learning and neural mechanisms, with possible use of EEG and dual-brain measures.

Start Jan 2027; UK/home students preferred and international applicants must self-fund. The PhD is based at ISEY and supervised by a team of researchers; flexible attendance is possible, with required

Qualificações

• Bachelor or higher in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience working with children is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with programming and data analysis tools is preferable.

Responsabilidades

• Address research questions on caregiver-child reading and learning.
• Analyse multisensory and neural data (EEG) collected during interactions.
• Work with wearables and time-series data; use eye-tracking and EEG tools.
