Job summary

The University of Leeds, through the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Materials 4.0, invites applications for a PhD candidateship on hierarchical failure and digital-twin modelling of hydrogel coatings. This fully funded programme offers a stipend and tuition coverage under the Materials 4.0 CDT.

Successful applicants will join a multidisciplinary project linking experimental materials science with data-driven and computational modelling to understand failure mechanisms across scales.

Qualifications

• Applicants should normally hold a good first or upper-second-class degree, or relevant MEng/MSc qualification, in engineering, materials science or a related scientific discipline.
