Job summary

Toots Nursery, part of SWIFT Childcare in London, is seeking an Early Years Educator Apprentice to support children’s learning through play and routine activities at a Wimbledon-area setting.

The Level 3 apprenticeship is fully funded, lasting 13–14 months with a minimum of 30 hours per week and a starting pay of £8.00 per hour. You’ll receive ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities for career progression within childcare.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable and willing to learn
• Childcare experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
• Assist with daily routines and ensure children’s safety and wellbeing
• Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment
• Observe and support children’s progress and development
• Work as part of a friendly nursery team
