Job summary

Zinc is expanding its engineering team in London. As a Fullstack Product Engineer, you will build high‑quality features across our platform, collaborate on technical decisions, and help deliver a robust product for thousands of customers.

You will work end‑to‑end on features, grow under senior engineers, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement while staying ahead with new tools and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven full-stack development experience with Node.js and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong TS/JS skills and production-grade software delivery.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable systems.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation with Jest/Cypress.

Responsibilities

• Build high‑quality features across the platform end‑to‑end.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape technical decisions.
• Maintain, optimise, and secure systems at scale.
• Tackle challenging technical problems with the team.
• Learn from seniors and contribute to a culture of improvement.
• Stay updated on new tools and best practices for stack evolution.
• Own features from idea through production with value delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Hard Skills

• Full Stack Development – Solid working experience with Node.js (Express/Nest.js) and modern frontend frameworks like Vue/Nuxt or React/Next, building reliable experiences end‑to‑end.
• TypeScript & JavaScript – Good hands‑on experience delivering production applications using modern JS/TS practices, with a desire to deepen your expertise.
• System Design – An understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable systems, and an eagerness to develop stronger architectural instincts over time.
• Database & Cloud – Working familiarity with MongoDB and AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway), comfortable building and shipping cloud‑native features.
• DevOps & CI/CD – Some experience with deployment pipelines and automated processes, with appetite to grow your infrastructure skills.
• Testing & Quality Assurance – Comfortable writing tests using tools like Jest and Cypress to ship with confidence.
