Job summary

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Fullstack Developer to join either the platform or acceleration team. You’ll build backend processes and UIs to ingest, transform, and visualize large data sets for traders and researchers.

You will engage with senior technical and non-technical users, own projects end-to-end, and contribute to tooling that enables real-time actions on financial data using React and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and React.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Work on our in-house distributed-compute framework designed for large-scale execution in HRT’s compute cluster, primarily serving algo teams.
• Collaborate with Algo Developers and traders to build backend processes and UIs for trading oversight, manual trades, risk assessment, and strategy improvements.
• Own projects end-to-end from inception to requirements gathering, planning, and ongoing support and iterations.
• Architect web-based tooling to provide insights and enable real-time actions using financial and operational data with React and Python.
