Role Overview

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of your pupils, delivering engaging lessons that build a strong foundation for their academic and personal development. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child thrives.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Use a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Encourage independent learning, curiosity, and a growth mindset among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform lesson planning.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
  • Identify and implement targeted interventions for pupils who need additional support.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and contribute to school-wide assessment processes.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
  • Set high expectations for behaviour and create a positive, respectful learning environment.
  • Implement the school’s behaviour policies effectively, promoting kindness and responsibility.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Collaboration & Professional Development
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure curriculum continuity.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and CPD opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil learning.
School Contribution
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
  • Support whole-school initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Uphold the school’s values and ethos, acting as a positive role model for pupils.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
