We are now looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Year 3 Teacher to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Overview
As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of your pupils, delivering engaging lessons that build a strong foundation for their academic and personal development. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child thrives.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Encourage independent learning, curiosity, and a growth mindset among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
- Monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform lesson planning.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
- Identify and implement targeted interventions for pupils who need additional support.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and contribute to school-wide assessment processes.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
- Set high expectations for behaviour and create a positive, respectful learning environment.
- Implement the school’s behaviour policies effectively, promoting kindness and responsibility.
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure curriculum continuity.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and CPD opportunities.
- Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil learning.
School Contribution
- Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
- Support whole-school initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Uphold the school’s values and ethos, acting as a positive role model for pupils.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to fostering a love of learning and high aspirations for all pupils.
- Experience working in a diverse and multicultural school setting.
- Understanding of SEND and EAL teaching strategies.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
