Tradewind Recruitment LTD. seeks a Team Teach trained SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term post at a special needs secondary school in Oldham. Role is full-time, 8.30am–3.30pm, five days a week, supporting pupils with Autism and Complex Needs.

You will help de-escalate challenging situations, recognise triggers, and assist pupils in self-regulation while collaborating with a supportive team and, if needed, providing personal care support.

Qualifications

• Team Teach behaviour management certification that is still in date.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willing to apply for a new one.
• Two professional references and Overseas Police Check if applicable.
• CV with full employment and education history including gaps.
• Have the legal right to work full time in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils aged 11-19 with Autism and Complex Needs.
• Prevent challenging behaviour by de-escalation strategies.
• Help recognise triggers and support self-regulation.
• Work as a team and support colleagues through challenging situations.
• May support with personal care: toileting, feeding, changing, hygiene and moving.
• Five days a week 8.30am to 3.30pm.
