Overview
We are looking for a pastorally wise and strategic priest to work across these 2 vibrant parishes for an interim (3 yrs) period. The role involves building on current community links and guiding the parishes as they transition into a new future as part of Hope Parish Liverpool within the diocesan strategy of being Fit for Mission.
The successful candidate will be a leader in the Diocese of Liverpool, inspiring lay leadership, discerning vision, and fostering growth in numbers, spiritual depth, and justice work within the communities.
Post Introduction
This role combines responsibilities for two distinct but adjacent parishes, serving 3 church buildings and 2 congregations. The post is a 3-year interim position during a pastoral reorganization process, with potential future roles within the new parish structure.
Liverpool is a vibrant city with rich cultural, transport, sporting, and educational facilities. The churches are located in a diverse, densely populated area close to the city center, near various amenities and green spaces like Sefton Park and Wavertree Aquatic Centre.
