Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants Required

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have the patience, dedication, and enthusiasm to support young learners in reaching their full potential?

Location: Preston schools, PR1, PR2, and PR5.

Contract: Full-time on an agency basis, with the possibility of temp to perm.

Start Date: ASAP.

Teaching Personnel is working closely with primary and secondary SEN schools in Preston seeking full-time TAs. These nurturing, inclusive schools are dedicated to providing outstanding education and support for children with diverse learning needs. They pride themselves on their warm, welcoming environment and commitment to helping every child thrive.

We are looking for compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants who will work closely with teachers and therapists to support children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils with learning, development, and emotional well-being
  • Assisting teachers in creating engaging, inclusive learning environments
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals

  • Experience working with children or adults with SEN or SEMH needs (desirable but not essential)
