A fantastic special school in Yate is looking for a teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from Monday 2nd September 2024 for the full academic year, working Monday to Friday 08:30-15:30. The school caters to SEND pupils aged 7-16 years old, with opportunities to support in both primary and secondary classes depending on your skill set and experience. Pupils have a range of SEND needs, including Autism, Speech and Language difficulties, Down Syndrome, PMLD, SEMH, and challenging behaviors. Experience in schools is ideal but not necessary; personality is key. They seek enthusiastic, adaptable, reliable, hardworking, and resilient staff. If you enjoy sports, music, drama, or art, you might also lead extracurricular activities. The school is accessible via public transport and has a large staff car park. To apply, you need an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one. The pay ranges from £95.29 to £105.00 per day, depending on experience, paid weekly in arrears every Friday.
