Do you have what it takes to be a Security Officer with Sentinel Group Security Ltd. working within a Data Centre?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Security Officer to join our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis at a Data Centre on the Slough Trading Estate.

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts 07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00, 4 on 4 off shift rotation. MUST be able to work both day and night shifts.

The role involves providing security services at the Data Centre, ensuring compliance, access, and egress are managed with professionalism and vigilance. Responsibilities include protecting the customer's employees, property, and assets in line with Assignment Instructions and site-specific requirements. Experience with access control, CCTV systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel are required.

This role can be challenging, demanding consistency and politeness at all times. It offers an opportunity to demonstrate excellent customer service skills while engaging with customers, clients, and visitors, remaining alert to security issues, and ensuring everyone's safety. You will also provide health and safety support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.

Essential Skills

• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
• Valid front-line SIA License
• Right to work in the UK
• Over 18 years old
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of employment/education during any unemployment periods
• No criminal convictions (current or pending)
• Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
