Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming secondary school in Pontypridd. You will work closely with teachers and students to provide academic, behavioural, and emotional support throughout the school day.

The role involves delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, encouraging positive engagement, and helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment that enables pupils to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience working with children, in school, childcare, youth work, sports coaching or similar.
• Be confident building rapport with secondary-aged pupils (11–16).
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
• Have a positive approach to behaviour management.
• Be committed to supporting students both academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions where required.
• Support pupils who may require additional assistance with their learning.
