Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a full-time Site Supervisor for a great school in North London, Harrow, to commence with immediate effect. The role runs from 6.45am to 2.45pm, Monday to Friday, and requires a full clean driving licence and an enhanced DBS check.

You will work with the premises team to secure the site, manage opening/closing procedures, and oversee cleaning, maintenance, and porterage duties, ensuring the safety and welfare of students and staff.

Qualifications

• Role requires safeguarding awareness and promoting welfare of children.
• Experience with premises, security, and building maintenance.
• Valid driving licence and DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Security of Premises; Routine and non-routine opening and closing of the school buildings, including operation of alarms (fire and security) and reporting malfunctions.
• Ensure that the buildings and site are secured when not in use; all doors and windows are to be secured; lights, heaters and gas controls are turned off nightly.
• Deter trespass and unauthorised parking on the site with safety in mind.
• Liaise with contractors regarding opening and closing arrangements during school closure.
• Carry out cleaning duties: check/clean children's toilets, maintain storage areas, uphold high cleanliness standards, replenish supplies, use COSHH safely.
• Carry out maintenance of furniture, fittings and equipment; seasonal equipment exchange and storage.
• Support maintenance of buildings with reactive/ routine repairs.
• Handyperson tasks: minor repairs and alterations; monitor furniture state; board up broken windows; fix floor tiles and safe carpentry work.
• Maintain grounds: tidy site, sweep hard areas, remove litter and weeds; ensure access during bad weather; health and safety monitoring.
