Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated sports coach for a primary school in the Oldham OL1 area. The role splits 50/50 between classroom support and delivering sport/PE to children aged 5–11.

The school serves many SEND students and requires a patient, empathetic and hardworking candidate. Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group coaching, working with pupils with additional needs and managing behaviours in a lively, Ofsted-outstanding environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Comfortable coaching in a classroom and delivering PE sessions.
• Available full time, 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday.
• Experience with SEND and autism-friendly approaches is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students in a range of sports.
• Deliver PE sessions half the time.
• Support pupils with additional needs and manage behaviour.
• Work 1:1 and small groups when not delivering PE.
