Job summary

Senploy in North London is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, assisting the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The role involves helping with lessons, working 1:1 and in small groups, preparing materials, managing behaviour, and providing emotional and social support to pupils as needed. A DBS check is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Patience, proactive and flexible approach to support.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing behaviour.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need additional help.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Encourage and motivate pupils to participate and achieve learning goals.
• Provide emotional and social support to pupils as needed.
