Job summary

Prime Life Ltd is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant for a full-time role at The Old Rectory, Stickney, Lincolnshire. You will work nights (8pm–8am) across a 7-day week to support residents with age-related conditions, disabilities and dementia. Training is provided and rates reflect qualification level.

Qualifications

• Experience as Care Assistant or Support Worker desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided.
• Willingness to work night shifts 8pm–8am.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and getting to bed.
• Carry out night welfare checks to ensure safety.
• Support residents to dine and stay hydrated and nourished.
• Encourage safe mobility with aids and equipment as needed.
• Provide companionship and maintain records and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to promote wellbeing.
• Welcome visiting family members.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Care Assistant, on a full time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

This role will be based at The Old Rectory in Stickney, Lincolnshire. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 42 residents, living with a range of age-related conditions, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health conditions, and as such require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, some of our residents live with Dementia. The home focuses on reabling residents to achieve maximum independence and recovery following physical and mental illness. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Full time Night Care Assistant include:

• Assisting residents with their personal hygiene and retiring to bed for the evening
• Completing routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure residents are safe and well
• Supporting residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration as required
• Encouraging residents to mobilise safely around the home, with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
• Providing friendship and companionship to residents
• Maintaining accurate and timely written records and completing documentation
• Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with other care professionals, as and when required, to promote the health and well-being of our residents

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with age related conditions, life-limiting health conditions, mental health conditions and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
